EAM Field Rules
- All people flying at the EAM field will have current Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) membership and be either a member of EAM or an authorized guest of a Member. Exceptions are allowed if participating in the AMA Introductory Pilot Program.
- Guests with Current AMA cards may fly only three times per calendar year.
- Fliers will obey all AMA and EAM safety rules. Know and follow the AMA safety code before flying.
- Fliers will use the frequency control board by placing their AMA card (or a copy) in the pocket associated with their transmitter frequency before turning on the transmitter. Specific instructions are posted above the control board. If sharing a frequency, inactive transmitter(s) will be placed in impound area while awaiting their turn to fly.
- If the Amateur Band is to be used, have the FCC license with you.
- Remain behind the Pilot Line, in a designated box while flying.
- Unless hand launching, take off from and land on the runway. Do not take off from the pits or behind other pilots.
- Never over fly spectators or cars.
- Consumption of alcohol prior to and/or during flying is not permitted.
- Be aware, in all cases, piloted aircraft MUST be avoided. Spotter MUST be used. Flying alone is not advised because of low flying piloted aircraft. Flying is limited, by Air Force direction, to 500 feet altitude.
- Be courteous! Do not allow propeller blast to disturb other planes or pilots.
- NEVER drive vehicles on improved runway surface. Use common sense.
